Miami singer-songwriter Loui Daniels celebrates Genesis at Bar Nancy November 28

FOR IMMEDIATE RELASE

New release reflects Loui’s personal experiences and societal observations of the current world

Little Havana, FL – October 28, 2025 – Loui Daniels was born for this. His life experiences performing, writing, and releasing music, coupled with a challenging period through the COVID-19 era and the loss of mentor and musical giant John Tovar, have led to the creation and release of his first full-length titled Genesis. Daniels is celebrating his creation with a special release party and performance at Bar Nancy (2007 SW 8th Street, Miami, FL 33127) on Friday, November 28, 2025, beginning at 8 p.m. 21 and over welcome.

He was born Luis Daniel Ibarra on November 20, 1996 to Cuban parents. His love for music started around the same time he took acting lessons and started to pursue theatre at a very early age. He participated in all the school plays and became a product in various theatre companies such as Miami Children’s TheaterArea Stage, and Fantasy Theatre Factory.

Also from an early age he was classically trained for 10 years under vocal coach Pamela Sherwood. Under her supervision he competed in various competitions around the US and won many awards. As a junior in high school he placed 4th in a competition at one of the world’s largest music associations NATS (National Association of Teachers of Singing), which took place in 2014 at Boston, MA.

He graduated from Archbishop Coleman FCarroll High School in 2015 and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Florida International University in 2019. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Loui was struggling to find acting gigs since everything had closed down, but soon rediscovered his passion for music by simply writing one song about what he thought his future would bring.

It led him to write even more songs, and he eventually began participating in open mic performances starting in late 2021, when businesses started opening again. Loui was soon picked up by close friend Ryan Bauta and introduced to artist manager John Tovar, who significantly influenced Daniels’ career until his passing in May of 2023. Tovar was known for helping to break national acts such as Marylin MansonThe MavericksThe Goods, and Nuclear Valdez.

“When he passed away I was devastated,” says Daniels. “Losing someone like John was like losing a family member. He was like a musical father I had around telling me what to do and not do while introducing me to all these great bands I’ve never heard of. I will always appreciate his guidance and pushing me to reach for the stars.

“I was able to find my true identity in music all thanks to him. I also learned so much about the music business and how it works. Without John I wouldn’t be where I am today.” Daniels was chosen to play at the Cutting Edge Music Conference at New Orleans at the behest of Tovar, where he has become a regular.

Since then, Loui has released eight singles on The Orchard Sony via Javi Productions Group, and performed in various places such as the House of Blues in New Orleans, The Springboard Conference in Houston, and many other showcases throughout the U.S., including a headlining performance at The Berlin in New York City on July 17.

Genesis, produced by Miguel Gonzalez (Purple Studio Productions), reflects Loui’s personal experiences and societal observations in recent memory. Featuring the single and video “Hide & Seek“, the album includes 11 original total tracks and a cover of Peter Gabriel’s “Solsbury Hill“.

Ferny Coipel (The Shack North), who has worked with various artists from Y&T Records, also contributed to the production. The album not only details some of Daniels’ upbringing and life but also highlights some of the flaws that he sees happening within society. Says Loui: “This is my beginning.” The album is dedicated to the memory of Tovar.

Daniels continues to build his presence in the music industry with support from Jessica Alvarez and the Sync Musica team, his band featuring Avery Linderman (lead guitar), Oscar Dorta (drums), and producer Gonzalez (bass), and ongoing performances across the U.S. Stream the new album by clicking here.

Tickets for the November 28 album release party are available online by clicking here. Select ticket levels include official merch items; there will also be limited edition t-shirts and lanyards with downloads for sale at the show. VIP packages include preferred seating and merch.

Electric Piquete celebrate their new album Azabache with events in Miami-Dade and Broward

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

New single and video for “Chunk” to debut at Skatebird in Miami September 20, followed by a performance at Margaritaville Hollywood Beach September 25

Miami, FL – September 6, 2024 – Award-winning Miami-based Latin funk “fusionistas” Electric Piquete will finally deliver on a promise set some time ago. The band is preparing to release a full-length recording of new and mostly instrumental music and plans to celebrate throughout the South Florida community in the days immediately after.

Azabache will be released digitally on all platforms September 20, with a video premiere for the first single “Chunk”, a mid-tempo funk number mixed by Grammy-winning producer and engineer Carlos El Loco” Bedoya (BeyoncéMick JaggerEnrique Iglesias), and CD release party to take place that night at Skatebird (533 NE 83rd St, Miami, FL 33138). The video, which will stream from the band’s YouTube page, was directed and edited by Chrisopher Tijerino from CR38TE MEDIA. No cover, all ages welcome, event begins at 8 p.m.

The word Azabache means black amber or jet and finds its origins in the Andalusian parts of Spain. Its value and use as a jewelry piece trace back to ancient Rome, and modern use to Cuban culture, where it is used to ward off negative energies. Azabaches are also said to protect wearers from fear, indecisiveness, and evil.

Next, the band returns to the bandshell at Margaritaville Hollywood Beach (1111 N Ocean Dr, Hollywood, FL 33019) for a 7 to 9 p.m., free and all ages performance on Wednesday, September 25. Electric Piquete’s new album will be available for purchase at each show for $15. High resolution photos of the band and the album cover are available here.

“The new album is meant to be a musical azabache, a salve for what ills our world, a statement of joy and groove put forth in the universal language of music,” says Michael Mut, band co-founder, bassist and album executive producer. “We hope to provide listeners with a temporary escape from the mortal realm, and an invitation to the spiritual.” The band is independently issuing the recording that features 10 total tracks.

Album standouts include the up-tempo Latin groove of “Guayabera” (also mixed by Bedoya), “Muevete Con Ganas”, a collaboration featuring the vocals and lyrical contributions of Miami-based singer / songwriter MannySwagg, and “Timeless Faith”, which puts congero Raymond Ayala and his smooth Spanish rap flow front and center.

The CD version of the release will contain a bonus track, a cover of the Badfinger track “Matted Spam”, which was originally issued in 2023 on the Y&T Music compilation Shine On: a Tribute to Pete Ham.

Formed in the summer of 2007, Electric Piquete is a two-time Miami New Times Best of Miami “Best Latin Band” award-winning Latin funk outfit. Their influences are as diverse as the Miami region that birthed them, ranging from rock to jazz spiced with everything in between: funk, Afro-Caribbean, progressive and R&B.

Though mostly instrumental, the band does feature vocals and rapping on several numbers; a tight rhythm section and heavy percussion supports melodious horn play.
