Soulful Reggae Singer Sammy J Headlines Guanabanas in Jupiter May 6
Soulful artist from down under performs free show at premiere waterfront restaurant, bar and music venue
Jupiter, FL – April 19, 2016 – Sammy J may be coming from a far off place, but his sound travels extremely well. Born Sammy Johnson in Australia and raised in Auckland, New Zealand, the artist embraces his Maori and Polynesian roots to create and engagingly deliver positive and uplifting music. He will bring this heady mix to Guanabanas Island Restaurant and Bar (960 N Highway A1A, Jupiter, FL 33477) on Friday, May 6, 2016, beginning at 8 p.m., featuring special guests Roots Shakedown. There is no cover; 21 and over are welcome.
Now based in the U.S., the artist has seemingly exploded on the market selling out venues across the west coast and Hawaii. Sammy J, currently touring North America with recent stops also including Tahiti, Las Vegas, NV, and the Pacific Northwest, is promoting his latest single, a catchy pop / reggae track called “Say That You Love Me”, which also features the soulful vocals of Tenelle. When not on stage performing or in a studio recording, Sammy J shows the same commitment to his art by giving back to communities. He is a social worker back home when not on the road touring, mentoring troubled youth and offering them a positive outlet to focus their energy with a music therapy program.
