FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Autism Awareness Month event the Larcenia J. Bullard Community Center runs 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Richmond Heights, FL – March 31, 2026 – In recognition of Autism Awareness Month, TMS Community Cares will host a Free Autism Screening and Community Health Fair on Saturday, April 25, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Larcenia J. Bullard Community Center in Richmond Heights, 14508 Lincoln Blvd, Miami, FL 33176.
The event will provide free on-site autism screenings, access to health resources, and connections to local service providers for families throughout Miami-Dade County. A special Autism Awareness Program will take place at 11:00 a.m. to highlight the importance of early detection and community support.
Autism spectrum disorder affects 1 in 36 children nationwide, according to the CDC, and early screening plays a critical role in ensuring children receive timely intervention and services.
“Early detection can significantly impact a child’s developmental journey,” said Jeffrey T. King, R.N., MBA, MSN, Founder of TMS Community Cares. “Our goal is to bring access directly into the community – especially in areas where families may not always have immediate access to screening and support services.”
The community health fair will feature:
- Free autism developmental screenings
- Pediatric and behavioral health resources
- Speech and occupational therapy information
- Insurance and service navigation support
- Community vendors and family-focused organizations
- Educational materials for parents and caregivers
This event is open to the public and designed to serve families with young children, educators, caregivers, and community members seeking information about autism and developmental milestones.
TMS Community Cares is committed to advancing health equity and expanding access to preventative healthcare services throughout South Florida.
Community partners, sponsors, and resource vendors are invited to participate. For sponsorship opportunities or vendor registration, visit www.tmcscommunitycare.org.
