Bronx, NY-native Pete Rock first rose to prominence as one half of a duo with C.L. His production credits span 31 artists also including PublicEnemy, Mary J. Blige, TLC, Monica, Mick Jagger, Madonna, and LadyGaga, and cross five genres (hip-hop, R&B, rock, pop and jazz).

Rock’s latest joints include tracks by J Dilla, De La Soul and Sadat X, as well as a record with Smoke DZA called Don’t Smoke Rocks and one with Smooth called T.R.O.Y. (They Reminisce Over You). In the works: Petestrumentals 3 and Soul Survivors 3, plus collaborations with Dr. Dre, Kanye West and Anderson Paak.

Born Chris Martin in Houston, TX, DJ Premier cut his production teeth with Gang Starr’s 1989 debut. He went on to have a hand in some of the most important East Coast rap classics: Illmatic by Nas, Ready to Die from Notorious B.I.G., Jay Z’s Reasonable Doubt and Black on Both Sides by Mos Def. A multi-instrumentalist who studied computer science at Prairie View A&M, Premier’s recent credits include Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, RobbieRobertson and The LOX.
