Rock / reggae outfit and Latin rock / reggae fusion group co-headline show at vibrant community theater – art house

Lake Park, FL – April 6, 2017 – Boxelder, power house reggae rock band from Jupiter, FL, return to West Palm Beach with high-energy Latin rock buddies Moska Project at the Kelsey Theater (700 Park Ave, Lake Park, FL 33403) on Saturday, April 29, 2017. Tickets for the all-ages show are $15 pre-sale and available online at bit.ly/BoxMosKT, or $20 on the day of show. Doors open at 7 p.m.

“Boxelder performed many times to packed houses at what used to be called the Kelsey Club a decade plus ago,” says Matt Cahur, guitarist for Boxelder and Roots Music, Inc. label head. “Those were great times for the band, and we’re looking forward to recapturing some of that magic in what is now an improved venue that stands as a beacon for the burgeoning arts scene in Lake Park.” Roots Music has been organizing and promoting music events for nearly 20 years. Cahur is also the talent buyer for Guanabanas Island Restaurant & Bar in Jupiter.

Boxelder spent the tail end of the 90s and beginning of the 2000s crisscrossing the U.S. and playing their unique blend of rock and reggae. Filling up small and medium sized venues all along the way, the band was able to amass a huge following in the days before social media made Internet stars. The band features Bryce Allyn on vocals, Cahur on guitar, Eli McDonald (guitar), GillyGonzalez on bass, and Patrick Boggs (drums). Boxelder’s high energy reggae anthems and trippy dub jams will be a highlight for the newly renovated Kelsey Theater. More details are available at www.boxelder.com.

Making original music since 2002, Moska Project’s musical style is a blend of Latin rock and reggae, enhanced by extended guitar and saxophone  jams. It is often referred to as “Brown Music”. Their live shows are entertaining and full of energy, complimented by a wide variety of danceable beats. Moska’s organic sounds have earned them top slots opening for Galactic, Matisyahu, Pepper and many more. Moska’s latest release Cuatro was issued in May of 2016. Culture and community: this is the Kelsey Theater ethos.
